Thorough knowledge of VHLD
Good knowledge of signal integrity issues.
Experience of low-level software design in C and assembler.
Experience of porting embedded operating systems.
Knowledge of VxWorks and / or RTEMS would be of benefit. |

Mechanical and Materials Engineers are required for the design and development of Rigid Inflatable Structures for Space satellite programmes. Candidates should have experience in the design and analysis of components using a wide range of flexible materials. In addition, experience in modelling of the loads and static and dynamic stresses in the assembled structures would be an advantage. They should also be capable of providing an innovative approach to problem solving. Experience with the development of air bags and their inflation systems may be advantageous. |

Engineers with proven experience in AOCS system engineering including sensors, navigation guidance and control and dynamics and mathematical analysis are required to support the procurement of spacecraft AOCS systems.
The procurement engineers will need to be involved in the total procurement process from tender evaluation through to the timely equipment delivery to the AIT department and the support of the payload integration departments.
The major tasks will involve the organisation and management of :-
Tender Evaluation Boards
Major design reviews (PDR and CDR)
Planning the timely review and submission of RID’s to the supplier.
Progress meetings with the suppliers
Production of departmental monthly reports and briefing senior management on any areas of concern
Material Review Boards
Supporting the supplier in the production of End Item Data Packs and formally accepting the equipments on the company’s behalf. |
